When requested, an estimate of the charge for any surgery will be given. However, the quote may not be exact because of unforeseen conditions that may occur during surgery.

Fees for services rendered are billed monthly. Unless prior arrangements are made with the credit department, all charges or services not covered by your health insurance are payable at time of service. Any balance remaining after 60 days is payable regardless of insurance coverage and may be charged interest at an 18% APR.

For your convenience, we accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover.

If you have insurance, please present your insurance identification card when you arrive at the office. You may be covered by more than one policy. Upon completion of an assignment of benefits, we will file your insurance claim for our services. Any balance not covered or paid by your insurance is your responsibility.

Medicare

All of our physicians are Medicare participating physicians. Medicare reimburses 80% of the amount allowed, after your Part B deductible has been met. The remaining 20% co-payment and deductible, if any, is your responsibility. For your convenience, we will also bill your supplemental insurance as needed.

HMO’s and PPO’s

Our surgeons participate in some of the managed health care plans in the area. If you are a member of one of these plans, please notify the office at (828) 327-9178.

Insurance Settlements

When an accident, liability, worker’s compensation or group claim is disputed, the matter is resolved by the patient and the company involved. In such cases, the patient may be requested to pay the bill prior to the claim being resolved. There is a $5 charge for completion of all disability forms.
